Blabberbug’s Facebook application allows your customers to send your offers and coupons to their friends right on Facebook! Beyond sending the offers and blabbing about your business, they can publish the action in their activity feed on their Facebook page so all their friends can see. That’s truly viral marketing.

Installing the application your merchant page is pretty simple. Here is a quick tutorial on how to get it all connected:

1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/#!/apps/application.php?id=322445512505&ref=ts and click “Add to my Page”

2. Select the page you want and click “add to page.” This should be your own Page on Facebook.

3. Navigate to the actual page on Facebook and click on “edit page.” You will see Blabberbug under Applications. You will need to be an admin of the page to do this.

4. Click “Application Settings” under the Blabberbug heading.

5. Under the “tab” tab, click the “add” link. This will add the Blab & Save tab to your page.

6. We suggest dragging the Blab & Save tab to the forefront of the facebook page, but this at your discretion.

7. Click the Blab & Save tab and you will see an ID number. Select that number and hit control-c on your keyboard to copy the text.

8. Go to https://blabberbug.com/account/ and log into your account.

9. Click Connect to Facebook and paste the id code into the box. You can do this by hitting control-v on your keyboard.

10. Click “save info” and you’re done!

It’s that easy and it’s instant. Once you’ve completed this, when someone clicks on the “blab & save” tab on your Facebook page, they’ll see your brand there!

We started Blabberbug with a focus on restaurants. Naturally, they have low loyalty and a high rate of business foot traffic. Despite the restaurant focus, the principle of Blabberbug works for almost any business. Here are some ideas for offers by industry.• Publications - You need subscribers to your publication, why not give current subscribers a discount on their next year for sending a discount to some friends first?

• Gyms - Everyone wants to lose weight, but how do you spark interest? Why not give a free month to a current member for sending a first month free with a 6 month membership to three friends?

• Garden Centers/Grocery Stores - Change offers weekly and send out with your email marketing campaigns to skyrocket word of mouth!

These are just a few. With a little imagination, you can leverage Blabberbug’s word of mouth driver tool to build your business.

Word of mouth marketing starts from the inside and works out. Good experiences with a brand will cause word of mouth. Giving people a reason and a platform to tell others about your business amplifies the potential and the return. That’s what Blabberbug, forward to a friend options, and other loyalty programs can do for you.

First let me apologize for taking so long in between posts. A lot has been happening at home base here at Blabberbug. With that out of the way, here’s an update.

1. Arooga’s is becoming the first true case study for Blabberbug.com. They have been simply adding links to the bottom of their email blasts and seeing some great results. With their first blast they saw over 15 blabs to over 40 other people. Those are huge numbers when you consider traditional coupon methods have seen only a few trickle in the front door.

2. We are actively seeking venture capital to build onto Blabberbug, create a sales team and start to heavily advertise and market the company.

So, that’s the quick update. Keep an eye out for future updates sooner than later!

As a business owner, you know that word of mouth marketing is the most powerful form of marketing you can engage. The problem is, how to spark it in your patrons.

Enter Blabberbug.

Blabberbug helps you leverage numerous forms of marketing that combine to make a highly-effective, cost savvy tool.

Put simply, Blabberbug allows you to reward people who refer others to your business. The referring person sends coupons to their friends, and in return they get a better coupon. It’s a incentivized email-based word of mouth coupon marketing system and, what’s more is, IT WORKS!

You only pay when people start referring others to your business.* $1.50 is sent to a reserve every time a person sends coupons to three of their friends. At the end of the month, your credit card is charged accordingly.

The results?

Happier customers who come back more often.

New faces who will in turn become happy customers.

An emotionally connected customer who loves your business.

More income, more often.

I’m sure there are other benefits, but let’s just start with those! What are you waiting for? Start blabbing!

* Sales people can do all the work to set you up and in this case a setup fee is charged.
